The Tucson Writers Salon is a series of free mini-workshops with host Tiffany Hawk and acclaimed guest authors. We’ll talk craft, publishing, and the writing life before giving you a fun writing assignment of your own. Arrive with a pen and paper and leave with inspiration and a new community.
Kimi Eisele is a multidisciplinary artist living in Tucson. She is the author of The Lightest Object in the Universe (Algonquin, $26.95), a luminous novel about loss and adaptation in a post-apocalyptic America, which has been named one of Real Simple's Best Books of 2019. Eisele was awarded the 2014 Lumie Award for Established Artist by the Tucson Pima Arts Council and is a writer and editor at the Southwest Folklife Alliance, dedicated to preserving and celebrating traditional knowledge and cultural expression in the Greater Southwest.
Tiffany Hawk, a writing coach and developmental editor, has been published in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, NPR’s “All Things Considered,” and more. She is the author of Love Me Anyway (St. Martin’s Press, 2013) and currently lives in Tucson.
