This lively book group, facilitated by Steampunk maven Jocelynne Weathers, reads and discusses books in the Steampunk tradition, a subgenre of Science Fiction often set in Victorian settings with plenty of steam powered technology.  Jocelynne chooses a variety of titles from classics to cutting edge Steampunk.
This group will meet the second Sunday of each month at 3:30 pm.
Don't forget!

Discussion on Sunday, November 12 at 3:30pm.

In this neo-Victorian alternate history, an expanse of land in the Congo has become a safe haven, an imaginary Utopia known as Everfair set aside for escaped slaves returning from America and the native populations of the Congo. Shawl’s book explores the question of what might have come of Belgium’s disastrous colonization of the Congo if the native populations had learned about steam technology a bit earlier.
