The Sonora Review

Join us for a release party of Sonora Review #72 and readings by three contributing authors: Mario J. Gonzales, Cassie Gonzales, and Caroline Chavatel.

Founded in 1980 by graduate students in the UA Creative Writing Department, Sonora Review is one of the oldest graduate-student literary journals in the country. It is a collection of fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction.

Mario J. Gonzales is a cultural anthropologist currently teaching at New Mexico Highlands University.

Cassie Gonzales, born and raised in Tucson, has a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Oxford. Her drama has been staged by The University of Iowa and shortlisted by the BBC.

Caroline Chavatel is the winner of The Cossack Review’s first annual October Prize for Poetry and a finalist for the 2017 Greg Grummer Prize for Poetry.
